Details for Hiring Our Trio
Below is a list of details that will help us plan for your event. I understand that some of these details might not be fully cemented yet (for example, the exact starting and ending time of your event). Usually after ironing out any major details, I will send you a contract. This contract will have all of the details, major and minor, in writing.
Major Details
- The date of your event
- The number of hours you would like to book the trio -- I have been to very few events that have not run late. Always book one extra hour. This will save you from overtime charges.
- Location of your event -- Even if you are not sure of the exact location, please let me know in which city your event will take place. There may be a charge if we have to travel more than 2 hours outside of the San Francisco Area.
- Contact information for your event planner
- Use of our Microphone and Sound System-- Do you plan to use our Sound System to make announcements? This might be surprising, but often people do not realize that once we are finished performing, we will take our sound system with us. Just something to keep in mind.
Minor Details
These details can change (within reason), and don't worry if you cannot remember all of them. They will be listed on the contract for you to verify.
- Location of the Bandstand-- Important factors include: Are we inside or outside? Where is the closest power source? How large is the room?
- Musical Requests-- Do you have any special songs you would like us to play? A first dance? One of Grandpa Eddie's favorite tunes? We will be happy to learn any songs that you request, as long as you give us adequate notice
- Schedule and Breaks-- Do you or your event planner have a schedule for your event? This will help us plan our breaks. Would you like us to play cds during our breaks, or will you or a dj be handling that?
